Collaborator on retreat:

“As a horse whisperer is to a horse, Megan is a whisperer to one’s soul.  Megan is keenly aware of life’s challenges and grief and how making space, having grace-filled conversations and noticing the work of the Spirit can be comfort and hope.”

“Restoration Ranch provides a prayer-covered place of retreat for anyone who is willing to open their heart and mind to receive the message the Holy Spirit has for them.  Whether you are consciously struggling or operating under the assumption that you have it altogether, the Lord has something for you at Restoration Ranch.  The retreat was led by an authentic and prayerful retreat team who combined their practical experiences with genuine hearts for the Lord.  Their testimonies were sincere, encouraging, and supportive.  The environment was one of safety, support, inspiration, and vulnerability as we all journeyed together.  I attended the retreat expecting to glean one or two nuggets but left with a whole new perspective on how to live my life with a bigger heart for my friends and family.  That’s why I write with assurance that God has a message for you.  My decision to attend was a divine appointment – a gift from the Lord.”

Testimonial from client Grief support Event organizer:

I have known Megan for many years and have had the opportunity to listen and learn about the struggles she has endured in her lifetime.  Knowing her story, I wanted to give her the opportunity to share it with others in my circle.  I work with many widows and widowers in my line of work, so I thought it would be appropriate to host an event and let Megan share her story.  We had around 25 people in attendance and Megan started speaking and everyone in the room was watching with steadfast attention.  The presentation was amazing as it started with her story and ended with her “counseling/comforting” everyone in the room that has gone through similar struggles.  I have not dealt with much death in my lifetime and the presentation really made an impact on me.  I often think about what she has gone through and try to make every day count with my family and thank God for the blessings He has given us today.  Megan’s story reminds us that every day is a blessing.

Listening to Megan’s journey from day one of loss to now has been impactful.  She reminded us that while we may to be able to change our circumstances, we are able to remember and honor our loved ones while finding our new way forward after losses and challenges in life. I also realized the heavy weight of loneliness that so many people face who lose a loved. As one who has not personally experiences these losses, I was drawn to consider how I can be aware of those around me that may need me to just be present to their story, and at times to their pain.

“I have asked Megan to tell her story at two separate events over the years in Sioux Falls and will ask her again!  After both events, the response from the attendees was extremely positive. Many wanted her name and contact information.  I am excited for the ways Megan continues to spread her encouraging words through her work with Restoration Ranch!”
